In addition, the Vice President has called on educational institutions and the private sector in the country to consider the rapid development of science and technology in the world in the implementation of the Plan. He said that universities and the private sector should collaborate to identify the necessary skills needed now and in the future, especially in the fields of science, technology, innovation, medicine, engineering and mathematics to enable young people to compete and find a place in the job market in the country and internationally.

The Vice President said that collaboration between educational institutions and industry is a necessity in today's world, as universities can no longer be islands of theory, and industries cannot grow without a skilled workforce that is in line with technology and market competition.

He added that the Sixth Phase Government has placed strategic priority on developing skills, knowledge, and employability skills among youth and graduates of various levels of education, recognizing that sustainable national development is not possible without having educated human resources capable of contributing fully to the national economy.

He said the Government has continued to make major improvements to education policies and curricula at all levels with the aim of building an education system that is flexible, inclusive and in line with the talents, trends and real needs of the labor market, while taking into account technological changes and national and international competition.

The launch of the Program is the implementation of the promise made by His Excellency President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan during the 2025 General Election campaign, where she promised to establish a joint Program between Employers, Technical and Vocational Institutes and Universities with the aim of matching training with the actual needs of priority sectors of the Nation, within 100 days of her inauguration.

Among other things, the Partnership Program between Educational Institutions and Industries aims to strengthen the strategic relationship between education provision and performance, with the aim of matching training with the needs of priority sectors such as energy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and value-added industries. In addition, the Program lays a solid foundation for building a generation of graduates with the ability to be employed, self-employed and participate fully in the development of the Nation as it is determined to change the theoretical education system to a system that focuses on skills, practices, creativity and wealth production.

The launch was attended by various Government, Parliament, Religious and development stakeholders. Others in attendance included Employers and Industrial Owners, Heads of various Institutions, Deans of Colleges, and Students.
