Tanzanians urged to apply for 1,150 driving positions in Qatar

TANZANIANS have been urged to come out in large numbers to take advantage of the employment opportunity announced by the Government in collaboration with Al-MahaTravel and Tours Company where 1,150 high-speed bus driver positions are available in Qatar. 

Speaking in Dar es Salaam, Al-Maha Travel Director, Abdallah Mohamed, said the interview process will be conducted transparently and will not involve the applicant spending any money, while encouraging qualified drivers to come forward to apply for the positions on time.

 He said applicants should have a valid Class C or E driver's license, be between 25 and 50 years old, a valid passport, and be able to communicate in English or Arabic. 

"In addition, all applicants will be required to prove their health before being hired.

Those who are successfully selected will be paid a salary of US$700 per month along with other benefits including health insurance, free food and accommodation," he said. 

He also added that the cost of the plane ticket will be covered by the employer. 

He explained that the deadline for receiving applications is February 04, 2026 and interviews will be held from February 6 to 8, 2026, where 900 drivers are needed from Mainland Tanzania and 250 from Zanzibar.
