Job Description: Assistant Manager - Debt Recovery

This manager will be responsible for managing the recovery of non-performing loans (NPLs) and written-off facilities. This role requires adherence to the bank's internal policies, legal guidelines, and credit management regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Assessing the status of debtors' accounts and recommending the best way to quickly recover bank funds.

Negotiating with Corporate, SMEs, and Retail customers who have defaulted on loans to reach payment agreements.

Supervise debt collectors and auctioneers to ensure they operate efficiently.

Liaising with the legal department regarding debt recovery strategies for existing court cases.

Attending court hearings and supervising the sale of secured assets through public auctions or tenders.

Applicant Qualifications and Criteria

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Banking Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a similar field.

Additional Qualifications: Certificate in Loan Work-Out, Debt Recoveries, or Credit Risk Management would be an added advantage.

Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), negotiation skills, and self-motivation.
